This gem thought he didn’t have to yield to merging into traffic. Since he doesn’t have to abide by traffic laws, he proceeded to tailgate me on I-430 in Little Rock, AR this morning, flipping me off, and honking his horn. As his road rage continued, he would switch lanes behind me following too closely and was inches away from rear ending my car. After he was done having his pitty party, he sped off into another lane passing me at a high rate of speed. Do better, Geek Squad/Best Buy. I kind of like being alive and this guy was too close for comfort and was comfortable being on the clock putting YOUR COMPANY at risk.

These opinions are mine, and I stand by them as they are based on the experience and treatment that I received today. I will never, ever purchase another appliance from Best Buy. My dryer needed repair, so I set up an appointment ahead of time. Originally, I was given 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Saturday. I understood this and agreed. On Friday, the day before my appointment, I received another text indicating that they would arrive from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. I was okay with that too. On the day of my appointment, I received another text indicating that the tech would be here at 10:50 a.m., which was fine by me. Well, he never showed up. I carry my cell phone with me wherever I go in my home so that I don’t miss any calls or texts. At the given time (10:50 a.m.), I was standing there with my cell phone in my hand, and the front door was wide open. I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss the tech. I called Geek Squad a few hours after he didn't reach back out to me. I needed to know if he was still coming or if he was just running super late. The CSR reached out to him, and she said per the tech, he couldn’t reach me. I know this isn't true because I received all of the other messages. No one had to ring the doorbell or knock on the front door, because I was standing right there. There were also NO missed calls or texts from this tech/Best Buy/Geek Squad. I was then told he said he wasn't going to come out because his shift was over, so he would have to reschedule my appointment to next Tuesday. The CSR also informed me that the tech was going out of town, and indicated to her that he is the only one who can make this repair, so no one else would be available. I've never been so disappointed in a company or a human being. I called a second time, and the CSR could not reach out to him. She said it was like he was sending her directly to his voice mail, and not taking her calls (she called twice). If Best Buy/Geek Squad is going to have people working for them to do this type of repair, then they need to have several back up technicians, because the one they assigned to me was not professional at all, and I don’t appreciate it. You can rest assure that I will not be purchasing anything else from Best Buy where a Geek Squad warranty is needed. It's not worth it if this is what you have to go through to get things repaired. I've been up since 6:00 a.m., on a Saturday, waiting around for nothing. They should compensate me for what they are planning to pay their tech, since they treated me like a second-class citizen, and wasted my valuable time! To say I’m disappointed in Best Buy/Geek Squad is a severe understatement!

I have a Microsoft 365 subscription. Our daughter was buying a new laptop at BestBuy and via a Microsoft email I invited her to share the 365 service. She used GeekSquad to set up the new laptop, transfer files from her old computer and to accept the Microsoft 365 share. Simple, right? Not if you are this location of BestBuy/GeekSquad. They refused to set up the 365 without MY E-MAIL AND PASSWORD. When our daughter called wanting that I protested that it was not the way to install it for her. I could hear the rep saying it was required. I relented. So, her laptop came back to her with me as the owner and administrator, and with her with total access to my files in 365. I lost all control of my own Microsoft account and she was not the owner of the laptop. Advice? GO ELSEWHERE for your tech needs. Totally incompetent staff. Costly and a nightmare to correct for me.

Perfect if you're looking for overpriced, incompetent service! I bought 2 years of geek squad protection for my laptop, and when my hard drive started failing I brought it to them. I'm capable of replacing it myself, but I bought the service as a type of insurance because it was sold to me as a "we'll repair all problems under this service at no additional charge." Well naturally they don't cover "all problems," and after waiting a week for them to confirm my hard drive was failing (I showed them the test results to prove it when I dropped it off) they informed me that I would have to order recovery media for the hard drive (decent customer service would order the part for you and charge you at the end, right?) So I spent the extra 20$ to get a flash drive of data mailed to me, and made the trip up there the next weekend. At which point, then they will finally sell me a hard drive (note: also not covered under my "protection plan) and install it which will take a couple more days (can be done easily in an hour, I've done it.) Then they call over a day later to inform me that the hard drive THEY sold me won't fit in my computer and again I will have to special order it!! At this point I've spent 3 weeks waiting and bringing them parts and no progress has been made on my computer. In conclusion: NEVER BUY ANY GEEK SQUAD SERVICE Instead, pay your local slightly above-average 12 year old to look on youtube and fix it. I bet he'd be thrilled with 20$ and could do it exponentially faster.
