No wonder Best Buy is about to go out of business. Don’t come here and waste your time. I showed up for my appointment for a repair to my phone and after a woman told me I had to wait an hour for security setting to be changed…. With five mins left another woman says we are closed and I sent all my techs home. I will never be dealing with Best Buy again. Amazon forever

I was scheduled to have a TV delivered between 12pm and 4pm. The Geek Squad driver called me at 12:09pm, showed up at 12:18pm, and left at 12:20 pm. I called in a panic at 12:29pm, as I left my garage door open for him to place the TV in. I imagined they would have given me more than a 9-minute notice, waited longer than 2 minutes, and or attempted to call me more than once. Then, he refused to answer my calls. Needless to say, I borrowed a truck and went and picked it up myself.

The technician was pleasant and helpful. My complaint is that you schedule an appointment and don't show up. Then at 7:00p you receive a text that they are going to reschedule you for the next day. This has happened to me twice. Another problem with Geek Squad is that they will cancel your appointment without any reason why. Will look for local tech support in the future.

What a farce. I have been dealing with Best Buy for over 20 years and for the most part, I have been 100% satisfied. That is until today. I took my high end computer to the geek squad at the Tucson store located at 6025 E Broadway. I talked with a tech named Maureen. I explained I thought my power supply had failed. She took my computer to the back room and asked me to wait around. She came and talked to me after sbout 20 minutes and explained she thought it was the power supply and told me they did not have one in stock. I told her I was not in a hurry and I would leave it there for them to order the part and install it. She advised me she had to charge me $39 to check it more thoroughly. I paid the $39 and left it in their hands. Later that evening I received a phone call from her stating that the mother board was bad and the computer wasn’t worth fixing so I should just pick it up. When I picked it up today, the tech read the report and said it needed a power supply and because they did not have a replacement they could not fix it. I asked what was true, does it need a motherboard or a power supply, all he could tell me was he was not sure. So in effect, I was told my 1 and half year old $3700 computer was not worth fixing but they had no idea if it needed a $80 power supply or a $350 mother board, but they thought it better for me to buy a new computer. I contacted Dell after returning home and they gave me an estimate of from $139 to as high as $369 to repair one or the other or both. Naturally I am sending it to them. I will never take anything to the so called Geek Squad. Update Today I learned it was a power supply failure and everything else was fine. Maureen outright lied to me and I have to believe that my computer was never analyzed by anyone at the Geek Squad and I was cheated out of the $39 check out fee. The only difference between them and an armed robber, is they did not have a gun. At this point I am sure if they did have one they would have used it.
