This review is specific to Geek Squad out of Prescott Best Buy. The Duo of misfits I got at my place was the most incompetent I've had the displeasure of dealing with. How to summarize: They closed the service ticket as complete before checking to see if dishwasher was working, it was not. They were going to leave without checking it was working. When questioned about that, they said they did everything and it should be working so it could be a defective washer. When asked to check the junction box to the connector cable, they said they did and it was properly connected. So I asked them to take the dishwasher back with them if it was defective and they said they could not as they had closed the ticket. They left a mess of water and debris in the kitchen floor, and rushed out of there. A week later I pulled the dishwasher out and confirmed that they had not properly connected the wires to the junction box, the black wire was loose, or properly attached the junction box to the back of the cabinet or used all screws on the junction box and the drain hose was kinked and they did not clean any of the mess they left when cutting some wood to route the drain hose through. The dishwasher was not defective and they LIED about having checked the connection as it was clear it was not connected properly. So, basically incompetent liars.

Prescott, AZ Geek Squad was paid $129 by my father in October 2024 to install a newly purchased A/V receiver. The two techs arrived on time, connected all of the speakers, connected the components, stated that the TV (which had been working fine) was shot, and left. Dad called one of the techs 15 minutes later to say that the Dish Network wasn't working properly (audio, no video). Tech stated that they'd return after the next job. The techs did not return, nor did they ever call saying, "Sorry, can't make a return trip today". Dad called me (understandably) frustrated & angry. I asked him if the techs connected the Dish box to the receiver using an HDMI cable, and the receiver to the TV via HDMI. He looked behind the components and replied, "No". (What the h***?!) I told Dad to go buy two HDMI cables, long and short, and explained how to connect them. He did so, albeit Dish to the TV (bypassing the new receiver) and everything worked fine. I arrived a few days later: Removed the RCA cables, connected the HDMI cables from Dish to receiver and receiver to TV; connected an RCA-to-HDMI converter to the DVD player, etc. Speakers and record player were the only components the Geek Squad bothered to connect properly, and their claim that the TV was shot was patently false. Long story short: I did all of the work that the Geek Squad should have done in the first place, including installing a media player input. I'm truly astounded at the level of incompetence these two, allegedly experienced, techs displayed. If you're in Prescott, AZ and need audio-video work done, call a local A/V pro, not the Best Buy Geek Squad.

There should be a NO star option! I purchased a new lap top (love it) and a printer. I purchased the whatever plan for a year and left the new stuff with the geed squad to download my files etc from my old laptop and hook up the printer to the new laptop. When I got home the printer was not connected or useable. Just called them and even though I was told that I could bring in the stuff anytime during the years plan I now find out that I either have to have them come to my house for a 100 bucks or I have to spend a major frustrating probably hours on the phone while they finish the job they were supposed to do initially..... I am more then greatly annoyed. Geek Squad did NOT do what I paid for and now I have to do the job and of course they will keep my money no matter how poor their service is ....... This dismal experience is with the geek squad at the Prescott AZ Best Buy store.

Setting an appointment by phone was quick and easy. We arrived early and were helped right away. The staff were friendly and engaged in helping us.. But alas, in the end, they couldn't solve the problem. Minus 1 star for that.

I brought in my laptop to get the screen Repaired the other day but I did not know that it was by appointment only so while I was there they set up an appointment for another time and they told me that they would have to send out my laptop to be fixed. My dad was the one who went to the appointment to bring in my laptop but when he got there they told him that my laptop was too old and they couldn't fix it I don't understand why they wouldn't tell me that while I was there the 1st time instead of going through all this trouble just to tell me 3 days later that they couldn't fix my laptop. Will never go there or reccomend their service. I'd rather find someone local now
