The WORST. I took my computer to Geek Squad on a Monday after an update had lost all my info. I stressed to them that what was on my desktop was most important. They were able to recover my desktop items while I was there and showed them to me. They told me to leave my computer overnight so they could finish the back up and restore. Well, overnight turned into them having my computer for 4 days and they PERMANENTLY DELETED all my desktop. TWO years of work that I can never get back along with photos. I barely received an apology and the manager said he was going to look into it and never got back to me. Major FAIL by Best Buy AND the Geek Squad. No apology. CRAP customer service. If I had lost 2 years of someones work, I would have apologized and offered them a gift certificate.

PC not loading certain games. Tech talked us into $149 diagnostic that would include separately testing & cleaning each component and every pin on the motherboard. Supposedly a discount from $350. Cannot tell if all the components were tested but the PC internals were still covered in thick dust when it was returned. Geek Squad could not duplicate the problem. They guessed the volts/amps might not be reaching the PC and recommended using a surge plug extension. We purchased a surge plug and switched Internet providers for a higher Mbps plan and a new high-end combo modem-router. That solved the problem. Would have been less expensive and probably as effective to just join their service plan for $49.

I bought a monitor at Best buy about two years ago that cracked on my move across the country. The geek squad worker told me customers can only bring Geek Squad protected/warrantied devices for repairs. Would have been nice to know before making an appointment. This is not mentioned online with any of their checklists before the appointment. "Does your computer need a repair? Bring it to Geek Squad® at your local Best Buy store. We can help with: Broken or cracked screens Frequent crashes or blue screens Virus and spyware removal Computers that won't power"

Called to see about TV repairs and Melody was able to provide clear and useful information about my Tv's issues immediately. She advised me on what I should do with the TV as far as troubleshooting and future steps to take to try and solve my Tv's issues. Amazing employee.

I have been made a slave to the time demands of Geek Squad, yet they fail to meet their OWN schedule. I have now been up since 5 AM, waiting for 6 hours for them to arrive during their 7AM-1PM schedule they gave us, and they couldn't be bothered to give us updates- let alone actually come for installation and delivery. I have no idea where my TV is and I've been on hold for 15 minutes just to TALK to a representative in-store. I had to put my whole day on hold for THEM and they can't be bothered to get anything right
