Staples stores now accept Amazon returns. When I walked into the store I saw a gentleman working there and asked him if he was the return person. He very kindly pointed me over to the other side of the store. I went there and took care of my return business, then back to him just to thank him for his friendly and gracious attitude. I asked him where to find a ream of printing paper and he asked if I had the Staples app and I replied no. He helped me install it on my phone and even though the discount for signing up for Staples was just a couple of dollars, I was grateful for the patience that he showed me. Since there was no one else in the store, we begin to talk and I realized what a remarkably kind and helpful guy he was. His name is Mike and even though there is a Staples store nearer my home I'm going to go out of my way just to shop in that store again in the hopes of seeing him. Way to hire good folks, Staples!

Staples off Gilbert definitely has some customer service issues in their copy center. I know customer service can be a hard job but that actually is the job. As soon as I walk up to the copy counter, no hello, how can I help, its are you picking up, if not what ever it is it’s going to take 48 hours. I found her very rude. I took a deep breath and said, you don’t even know what I’m going to ask, she said it doesn’t matter “48 hours”, I said and if I just need 1 copy, “doesn’t matter 48 hours”. I said so you wouldn’t even present me with the opportunity to make my own 1 copy…you could do that, she replied. I said I think I’ll leave now, I’m not really feeling very good service. She did say that she is like that because it’s important to be upfront. I get that but she was cold. She probably really didn’t want to be there but it was 10:00, they just opened and already had an attitude or perhaps, that’s just her. It took me a week to make time to take care of this need. It still wasn’t worth it to do business here. Taking my business somewhere else. We as consumers have choices.

I recently purchased a chair from this Staples and I was absolutely appalled, and honestly surprised, at how many different mistakes were made during the buying process, from so many different people in so many different departments, on so many different levels. There were numerous mistakes made by the store location, the shippers, the call center employees, and even whoever coded the online order tracker. Every single department at Staples that I dealt with failed or made a mistake at some point in time. The store wrongly told me on the phone that my order would be ready in 30 minutes and that it just "needed to be pulled". They gave me the false impression that the chair was actually at the physical store location. I waited about an hour and half just to be certain that they had plenty of time to pull the order. I drove six miles to the store only to be told that my order was indeed not at the store. I was told I would receive a phone call when my order was ready to be picked up. No one ever called me even after I confirmed with the manager that they had the correct phone number. After hearing absolutely nothing for quite a while ,I called the store to see if my order was ready for pickup. They told me they received my order, but the wrong chair was shipped to them. I was told it would be a few more days before they could obtain the chair that I paid for. I was told I would receive a phone call, and surprise surprise, no phone call. I waited a few days yet again and called the store. My chair was finally ready for pickup, about eight days after the online order tracker said it would be ready. I also want to make it clear that during this entire process, the order tracker failed to do literally anything it was designed to do. The tracking number never updated, the tracker never indicated when the chair shipped or when it actually arrived at the store. It was just straight up broken. On top of all of that, when I called customer service, the automated system automatically identified my order from my phone number. However, the customer service employee I spoke with was unable to pull any information on my order up whatsoever. Phone number? Nope, not showing up. Order number? Sorry, not showing up in our system. Name and address, nope, nothing pulling up. Store address? Nope, I can't see anything. When I finally arrived at the store, Alex the manager was professional and helpful. I received a free 3 year protection plan due to the inconveniences that happened during this extremely annoying process. That was nice, but it's extremely disappointing and almost funny that a company as large as Staples managed to mess up almost every single thing over a simple chair order. It's safe to say that I won't ever be buying anything from Staples ever again. It's definitely not a surprise to see why Staples is going out of business.

I highly recommend this store/location. Whenever I go in he always shows me the best prices and helps me save $$ every single time. Like who doesn’t like saving money? He is very attentive and takes his time to help me look for what I need. I couldn’t ask for a better customer service interaction. Shawn is the best, thank you Shawn!
