I am usually a patient person, but my experience today was frustrating. I had to return some Amazon purchases. I stood in front of the Amazon return counter for 10 minutes while a cashier behind the same counter had a steady stream of Staples customers to check out. Two other employees went behind the counter and I assumed they’d take care of my Amazon return, but they didn’t. No eye contact and no acknowledgement of my presence. Confused, I took my items and stood in line with the Staples customers so I could finally be waited on. Got to front of line and cashier told me he had to finish checking out the Staples customers before he could process my Amazon return. What?! I have never seen so many people checking out at this Staples at once and I didn’t want to go back around to the Amazon counter to continue waiting for who knows how long. I canceled my Amazon returns to Staples and chose to return them at Kohl’s instead, where I was waited on immediately. I won’t be back to this Staples. It’s the 2nd time in a row that I have had an issue with Amazon returns.

I found the rewards program very easy to use. I was able to recycle my printer cartridges and printer and use the credits toward a new printer. The associates were very helpful and knowledgeable. There was no pressure to purchase any particular product. They allowed me all the time I needed.

I don’t mind standing in line, what I don’t like is to be invisible. I was at the return counter, employees coming & going and around, no one engaged via word or sight. Finally someone comes over to the register, grabs my return and starts to initiate the return; no curtesy of a “hello”, eye contact or any engagement. He completes the return and says “Here you go”; still no eye contact. Looked for Manager, asked an employee, the employee didn’t want me to speak to the Manager. I found the Manager and she stated “We’ve talked to that employee (the one at the Return register) before about this”. And that was it. If you look at my account (Easy Rewards) you can see I am an excellent customer! I have other options/choices in which to purchase the products Staples carries. This is not the first time I felt I was a “bother” at this location. If I were the Manager, I’d want to know this, as well as Corporate Management should have concern.

I have not been in this Staples for over two years as in the past every time I tried to purchase from them they were out of stock, the store was dirty and the employees were a special kind of pissed off. That all being said I am happy to report that this store is back in the fight!, it is well stocked, clean and bright and the employees are professional and personable. It really is great to see that they have not just given up as so many other stores have. Fight, Fight, FIGHT!!! Great Job!!! Thank you

I recently checked staples to find boxes to used for an upcoming toy drive, the staff immediately provided me with multiple options and were excited about my event. I then equites about a new updated printer, the associate asked what I have then what my needs were. Once I responded the associate instantly referred two specific epson printers and the differences between the two. When I made a decision I was then advised which ink type Id need also go with an estimated end to end use timeframe. Really happy with this last Staples visit in Gilbert!
