Had my laptop for one month before the display died and GeekSquad was unable to repair. After 3 months of waiting I get a message saying to go to the store for my replacement. While there the GeekSquad employee tells me that they can only issue me a store credit since they don’t have a replacement in stock. I tell the employee I just want a refund then since the closest comparison was a computer with worse memory and a worse gpu for more money. The employee tells me they can only do store credit. I asked to speak with the manager only for him to say he could have someone else explain it to me again if I would like. Manager comes out and listens to my issue and says she can only do a store credit. After leaving the store I call Bestbuy and they agree that’s not the policy and issue me a refund to my original card from the purchase. Protip always skip GeekSquad!

I had the geek squad at my house today to hook up my TV and surround sound. They were fast ,friendly and did a great job. This is my 3rd time using them and I have always been happy with them.

I came in about 3 or so weeks ago and the Geek Squad crew got me in fast and took excellent care of me. They were inspecting my desktop computer and monitor. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and caring. He inspected everything thoroughly. I would highly recommend him and Geek Squad! Very pleased!

My parents purchased an 85” Samsung and hired GeekSquad to install it. We used them about 14 years ago and 7 years ago and they were great. They are now absolutely horrible. They showed up yesterday (12/23) in a yellow rental work van with zero markings of geek squad. He refused to install the new cords my parents purchased and said the old ones were still probably good. The tv is anything but straight mounted, he didn’t even bring in the right tools and refused to install the sound bar that was in the same purchase. Left with the tv not even connected to our directv. He was extremely rushed, but made sure to brag about how excellent he was at his job. It’s now Christmas Eve with family visiting from out of town and no tv works in their house. We have now been on hold for over an hour trying to speak to the manager and they are almost refusing to speak with my mom. How sad is that???

Scheduled a home visit to look at home audio options for the speakers that are installed throughout my house. Had to wait three weeks for an appointment, fine. Told the geek squad rep I would need an afternoon appointment at 4 since I work. Was told this was no problem. The morning of the appointment they called and said they would be on their way at 11:30am. I told them I was scheduled at 4 to which I was told they would not still be working at that time. The guy argued with me that they don’t set appointments. Told him I couldn’t be there. He suggested Sunday for a reschedule which I said would work. Waited more than half the day and decided to call to inquire about my appointment. I was hung up on, probably accidentally. Called back and was told I didn’t have an appointment scheduled for today. Total incompetence, will never use geek squad Huntsville again, or Best Buy for that matter.
