Called and got a recording, pushed to a central located best buy rep after 10min of holding. Couldn't understand their English... I'll just go to Amazon or Lowe's.

COMPUTER USERS BEWARE!!! My mom lives in the area and dropped around 200 dollars because her computer was slow and didnโ€™t know what to do. The local Geek Squad said she needed a battery replacement. That was a total waste of her money. While she was visiting me, I repaired her computer in less than 5 minutes completing some intermediate level troubleshooting. Whether itโ€™s lack of competence or lack of integrity, I would never suggest services from this location. Save your money. Ask anyone and I mean anyone else that has the slightest knowledge of computers beyond opening a web browser.

Brought in a laptop to Geek Squad for repair. They wanted to charge $700+tax which is as much as a brand new computer to replace a motherboard and power button board, both parts that I could purchase off eBay for about $120 and I can install it myself. Was using Geek Squad for convenience and didn't mind paying the $80+ for diagnostics but the repair costs was insanely high. If you have a computer to be repaired, buyer beware. It appears they just want to make a quick buck off their base diagnostic charge and then charge a large repair costs to see if they can find any suckers out there. I ain't biting! :(
