A few weeks ago, I ran into an issue where my machine was unable to boot into the operating system. After trying multiple troubleshooting steps on my own—including reinstalling the operating system and testing different OS images without success—I decided to take it to this repair shop for professional assistance. I explained in detail everything I had done to troubleshoot the problem and even provided an extra hard drive, requesting that they try installing the OS on it to see if the machine would boot. They had the machine for over 48 hours but were unable to resolve the issue. When I asked for an update, they informed me that the NVMe drive was faulty, which seemed reasonable at the time. However, they didn't offer to replace the drive or provide further suggestions, so I picked up my machine after paying a $150 diagnostic fee. After taking the machine home, I purchased and installed a brand-new NVMe drive, but I ran into the same issues as before. Realizing something else had to be wrong, I sent the machine back to the original seller, who had it diagnosed within 12 hours. It turned out the CPU was faulty, not the NVMe drive. In fact, the original drive was perfectly fine and was reinstalled. While the repair shop was polite, they missed the real issue and cost me time and money in the process. It was frustrating to discover that a critical component was misdiagnosed, which prolonged the repair.
